For the past few years our travel club has journeyed down to Faywood Hot Springs between Deming and Silver City, NM. If you have been around for a while you remember when Faywood was closed and for sale for about 5-6 years. Now, it is open, continually improving and a great place for us to gather for an enjoyable weekend. The owners/operators have been welcoming to our group and have done us some favors that help things go smoothly while we are there.
Faywood has both a C/O section and a C/R section. There is also a C/O RV camping area where you can be nude around your camp.
They have four different possibilities for accommodations: 1. C/R RV. (Full hook ups are at all the sites.) 2. C/O RV or tent camping. 3. C/R Tent camping sites. 4. Cabin units. Their website has complete descriptions of their housing and camping units.
If you plan to attend the weekend you will want to make reservations soon.
We usually have a couple of group meals and some other impromptu get togethers while at Faywood Hot Springs.
Friday night we can have an informal gathering for cocktails and conversation.
Saturday night we have a group pot-luck.
Sunday morning is our last-day group breakfast.
The days can be spent soaking in the hot tubs, sight-seeing around the area or traveling to Silver City for a day of shopping and tourist activities. Or you can just chill out and take it easy.
Faywood is a fun place and many of us have fond memories of our visits there.
Treena, our Queen of Faywood, has once again agreed to coordinate the trip so please RSVP so she knows who is going etc.
